Visio 2003 and 2007 filter the list of available reports to show only those that are relevant to the shapes on the current drawing page. Consequently, if there are no Task shapes on the current page, the available report list will contain exactly one entry – a standard Visio report that provides and inventory of all shapes on a page like the example shown here.

To view the TaskMap reports, do one of two things:
- Uncheck the box in the lower left of the Reports dialog that is labeled Show only drawing-specific reports, or
- Click the TaskMap Reports button when you are viewing a page that contains at least one Task shape.
Either of these actions will produce a dialog like the one below.

To view the TaskMap reports, scroll down through the list. Note that all TaskMap reports begin with the letters "TM" to make them easy to find (see example on below).

To run a report, either double-click on its name, or click once and then click the Run button. Next you will see the Run Report dialog in which you will select a report output format. The appearance of the Run Report dialog varies slightly depending which output format you select.
If you choose to save the report as a Visio shape, the dialog looks like this:

If you choose to save the report in Excel format, the dialog looks like the one below. When you click OK, the report will be created and you will be transferred automatically to Excel.

If you choose to save the report in HTML or XML format, the dialog looks like the one below. Note that you can either specify the path and file name for the output file or accept the default.
