TaskMap allows you to record the date and time when your TaskMap was last saved. This date/time can be useful for keeping track of revisions of your maps.
To add the Last Save Date/Time to your map:
- Select an existing shape or add a new shape to the map
You may add a shape by using the Visio drawing toolbar or by dragging a shape from the TaskMap or another stencil.
NOTE: You cannot add the Last Save Date/Time to the Task, Task Link or Connector shapes.
- Open the Last Save Date/Time dialog in one of two ways depending on your version of TaskMap (refer to About TaskMap to determine which version of TaskMap in installed on your PC)
- For TaskMap version 2 or earlier: Select Last Save Date/Time from Visio’s Insert menu (note that Last Save Date/Time menu is only visible when the active Visio window is displaying a TaskMap).
- For TaskMap version 3 or later: Select Insert Last Save Date/Time from the TaskMap entry on the main Visio menu (note that the TaskMap menu is only visible when the active Visio window is displaying a TaskMap).
The following dialog will appear

- Select the date/time format you prefer
- Click OK
It is often convenient to use the Last Save Date/Time in a shape on a background page in order to have the Date/Time appear on every page in your TaskMap.
