Laying out TaskMaps is now faster than ever. Version 4.0.3 includes a new AutoConnect feature that lets you “shoot” TaskMap shapes (Tasks, Connectors, Start, & End with connecting Task Links) onto the page with a single click. In the Visio 2010 example shown below, when you hover over a Task shape's AutoConnect arrow, a mini-toolbar appears offering you a choice of four TaskMap shapes to add to the page. Once you have the first shape on the page, you almost never need to move your cursor back to the stencil.

Edit Guidelines and Resources more easily. In version 4.0.3, you can right-click any Guideline or Resource in order to edit or delete it, as shown in the image below. It is no longer necessary to open a Task’s Shape Data dialog to perform either of these actions.

Change Guideline, Resource and Role text without losing hyperlinks. TaskMap v4.0.3 fixes a long-standing issue that removed hyperlinks from Guidelines, Resources or Roles if you edited the text of the item. You can now change the text of these entries without affecting attached hyperlinks.
Advantages of Visio 2010. If you are not using Visio 2010 yet, please note that the screenshot above also shows a very handy new Visio feature. The formatting mini toolbar appears above the conventional menu when you right-click any object in Visio 2010, allowing you to apply many style and format changes directly from the right-click menu .
